As a high school student at High Point High School, I was in a sexual relationship with Tina Maddox, my varsity softball coach who was also a Special Education Teacher at High Point High School. I was not the first student with whom she had sexual contact; I was not the last.
This website has been created to share my story in order to make people aware of what happened and to break the silence.
Parents/Guardians: If your child was a student or softball player at High Point High School in Prince George's County, MD, Oakland Mills High School, Mount Hebron High School or Homewood School in Howard County, MD, please have a conversation with them. Ms. Maddox may have abused her power.
WHO IS TINA MADDOX?
Tina Maddox was most recently the Principal of Homewood School in Howard County, MD. On December 11, 2017, Howard County Public Schools reviewed the police reports regarding her sexual misconduct. As of February 1, 2018, Tina Maddox is no longer employed by Howard County Public Schools.
She held that position for over 10 years. Prior to that Ms. Maddox was a Vice Principal of Oakland Mills High School and a teacher at Mount Hebron High School. Ms. Maddox coached softball at both Oakland Mills High School and at Mount Hebron High School.
Before coming to Howard County Public Schools in the late 1990's, Ms. Maddox was a Special Education teacher in Prince George's County, MD at High Point High School where she also coached the Varsity Softball team.
Only two police reports are shared on this website. While they are redacted, they still have adult content and discuss adult themes.
